12V 3A DC through USB 3.0?

Is there a way to operate a laptop from a laptop that needs 12V 3A DC?

Is for a self-made portable display.
I would like to avoid normal power supply for sockets, because it is less portable and you always have to search for 2 sockets.

So if you want to connect a 12v device to a laptop via USB, that's not possible. USB outputs 5v and the laptop is no different. And if the whole thing needs 3A, you can't connect it to a converter either. I'm looking for a scooter battery.

If the laptop can USB-C PowerDelivery with 12V 3A. But 36W. Hardly likely.

Just get a power bank with USB-C-PD with min. 36W
And for the display a USB-C-PD adapter, which you can set to 12V
e.g. ZY12PDN (adjustable to 5, 9, 12, 15, 20V via button)

There are good sellers on eBay.
I always get it from:

Then I go in that direction.

Roller battery and portable is probably ne contradiction or

36W is a lot. For portable.

There are already (sinfully expensive) portable displays that work the same way

Well. Is not that big and not so old either, I think more about the price 😉

St

Thank you. Exactly I want to try to make it out of an old laptop myself. Let's see if I can do it

Look at this:

I would not install the power bank so firmly, it was expensive enough and you have other devices.

Exactly what I want to do! Top.
