So my hard drive on the laptop gave up after half a year in operation, the laptop was provided by the company and the problem is, the hard drive is less than 6 months old… I have to rely on the laptop because of my apprenticeship or my job. So and we have installed a 1 terabyte SSD and now the question arises, why did the hard drive break after half a year?

That can happen from time to time. The hdd does not have to be six months old. Sometimes it has been a few years before it is sold or sold for installation.

The last case of damage was a Samsung SSD 850, which was less than half a year old. My oldest PC disk, a WD2500JS, currently has 48,861 operating hours, which corresponds to around 11 years of operation when used 12 hours a day. It was switched on 22,401 times, which corresponds to 5-6 times a day for 11 years.
Two old Seagate disks, which are scrapped as fail-safe, are installed in the server with 63710 operating hours. That is more than 7 years in 24-hour operation.
Windows 10 comes with all drivers. Would install the latest version of Win 10 times and no additional drivers.
