At least for me would be "very powerful" the upper class, and there you are with laptops fast times at 1500 euro and more. At 600 euro, we're in the middle class, with mediocre performance. That means good for office, internet surfing, some multitasking, very simple games. For really high-performance applications such as gaming, professional video editing etc. However, such a mid-range laptop is usually too weak.
A friend of mine has recently asked me for advice for a laptop up to 600 euro, especially for office work.
So I recommended the Thinkpad E585 with a Ryzen 2500U and 8 GB RAM. In the basic equipment it costs 535 euro, with a little more storage about 600 euro.
