If you have a laptop in the house and a server,
where the server has the high performance available
then you can connect wirelessly or
Establish via LAN and after a login
operate the server.
An easy way would be
Teamviewer program.
It always depends on what you need the performance for. If you want to "pull" then there's Stream over Steam, which is really cool. Steam install on the laptop and then you can stream on the PC. So the PC starts and calculates the game and your laptop shows it.
If you want to use the power for other things, the easiest way is to connect using remote software. On Windows RemoteDesktop on Linux VNC or third parties such as Teamviewer and Anydesk
