I have installed on my older laptop a while ago win 10 but 32bit (accidentally) I now want to upgrade to 64 bit but I have the problem that I can't boot from my usb drive because I have no access to the bios since time ago someone has an admin password because in the BIOS has cut in and I have no idea what that was.

Is there a way to boot the system from the usbstick without using the BIOS?

If your device also has a boot menu that is not affected by the password and USB is always active as a boot drive, Yes.

Otherwise, you could try to burn to a DVD and boot from it, maybe you're lucky and DVD is in the boot order in front of the HDD.

Alternatively one could override also the MBR of the Fesplatte invalid, then this would not be bootable any more, if USB is not listed however in the boot sequence, then you have a problem.

Yes the problem is the cd drive is broken he does not recognize cds

Could not I simply format the entire hard drive and boot from the usb igw because I'm afraid that if I format them I can do nothing more

(…) However, I have the problem that I can't boot from my usb drive because I have no access to the bios

For booting from the USB stick not necessarily the bios of your notebook must be called. If your notebook has its own boot menu, you can also start the installation. The password does not really affect it.

since I do not have access to the bios because once a long time ago somebody has an admin password in the biotech purely clean and I have no idea what that was.

If you believe it, unscrew your notebook carefully. Briefly remove the CMOS battery (button cell) and insert it again. Then you can tighten your notebook cover again. If you turn on your notebook actually get back to the bios without a password.

If you can't get into the bios and no boot menu is available, including the free Plop Boot Manager helps. Just burn it to a CD and then boot from it.

Plop Boot Manager: https://www.plop.at/de/bootmanager/download.html

The tool loads a mini operating system with USB driver and boot manager into the RAM. Then simply start the Windows installation from a USB stick.

(…) if USB but not listed in the boot order, then you have a problem.

Nope, you do not have one. With tools like Plop just a mini-OS with USB driver and boot menu is loaded into the RAM. After that, the installation can actually be pushed "easy-peasy".

If USB is not in the boot order, you will not be able to convince the BIOS to boot from a USB stick either way, so it just says goodbye to "No operating system found".

If you expect to actually have a computer with BIOS: Buy yourself for the project first time a new one. For more than 10 years, no more research is done with BIOS.

Otherwise: upgrade from 32- to 64-bit does not work.
You have to cleanly reinstall.
Please make sure that your Windows license allows the change.

By the way, that does not have anything to do with the UEFI at all.
