Sorry for my spelling right now, but I really don't want to pay attention.
I have a huge problem.
I wrote a large word document that has almost 20 pages. My laptop then updated and everything was gone. I can't restore it. I tried everything.
Do you have another tip for me? It is very, very important…
I can't restore it anymore
You say it! The only option I know is that you used OneDrive and it automatically saved it somewhere 🤔
Can you try to load a backup from your laptop on it, then it should be back but I don't know if it works
I've already searched everything and nothing works. Gave up my hope
Any automatic cloud system? I have magenta cloud. That loads automatically.
Before you try anything else, you may not have saved it where you wanted it.
Start a search for * .docx in "This PC" there you will find all Word files. Don't be surprised it takes forever.
Doesn't work
What could work but is expensive is a win recovery. NO new installation!
The shortcoming here is that WINDOWS resets to a point and actually does NOT go to the files. But it's worth a try.
So you go back to one point. The update is the ingenious one.
In order to get rid of incorrect updates cleanly, a restore point is set before each update.
Example you have
written from 07:01:20 to 12:10:55.
The update came at 13:12:09 sets the right point and installs itself
The computer restarts at 13:16:02
at 13:18:00 the computer has booted up and the file is gone.
Operating systems can travel back in time…
You start the restoration here
Settings / Win Update / Restore reset the PC.
And go back to the point at 13:12:09.
I don't know if that helps but it's worth a try.
