Could i have a virus?

I opened exactly one page in my browser that is fully loaded. The Tast Manager indicates that the main memory is already 40% full. Do you find it normal? My laptop is just a little over a year old and I have already reset it to its factory settings several times with complete data erasure.

Do you have any suggestions?

Ar

Sweet. But you already know that several dozen background processes on your system are also using RAM, right?

The first question is:

How much RAM do you have anyway?
Where are most of the loads and / or how high are they (not in percent)
You can't get a virus through a site because you haven't downloaded anything.

You should set up Windows again, a lot of data garbage collects over time.
But it also depends on how much RAM the laptop has,
After resetting you should no longer have a virus, otherwise try to bypass your internal hard drive and use an external one to make sure that the virus has not eaten its way into the hard drive.

Switch it off, then the RAM is "empty" again.

What is the problem? RAM (= working memory) needs power to keep the content. That's why there are hard drives, SSDs, etc. To store something persistently, even if you switch off the computer.

I understand ^^

I think it has long since eaten in if one should be on it: /

My Lappi has 8 GB and hardly any apps on it. I.

Under these technical conditions, is that still a moderate performance or below average?

Pr

Normally 16GB is best 2x 8GB RAM
