I just bought the game the Sims 4 online and received an email about Platform Origin. I already have an account and now I have to install Origin for my laptop.
My question: is there still some kind of "DVD" being delivered? Because there was nothing about it in any of the emails and unfortunately I'm not familiar with computer games (it's also a gift). That's why I wanted to ask if someone could explain this to me in more detail, since I couldn't find any more detailed information on the Internet either.

If it was bought through origin, there's probably some kind of code that you have to enter to unlock it. But if you've already installed it, you probably don't need to. Sims 4 runs without a DVD when installed. A CD is only available if you buy it in a store, for example a media store. With this you can install it but also play without a CD after the installation. The game is kind of saved on the computer.
So does it all go online? Without a disc? Because as far as I knew it was also possible…
As far as I know, you can do that without a CD.
My experience is that without a CD in the drive it won't save and nothing can be uploaded to the gallery.
