Laptop broken after repair what to do?

This year is a plague year. My laptop doesn't work on it anymore. Three weeks ago I could no longer open any folders and repaired it. I paid 130 euro for it and now it does not start up. What should I do? I'm going crazy…

Pa

Bring him back, what a question.

ca

What's the problem? If it's only software, you can send it a hundred times for repair, nothing will change.
The HDD / SSD may have been replaced, then you must first install an operating system.

What was done for the 130 euro? You should have an invoice or receipt that says what they changed on the device.

ch

Then I have to pay again

ch

He fixed the software, which I don't know exactly. He said the problem is due to the software, but he has been trying to repair the hard drive again and again since last night

Fo

Tell us at which point the laptop is hanging.

doesn't it make any noise when you turn it on? (Total failure)

does it show certain devices on the screen when you turn it on? (Initialization of all components)

does it hang on the Windows loading window? (Boot sequence is disturbed)

Or do you come into the system and nothing happens? (System is defective)

Pa

KA but I would babble until he insists on doing it for free ;-)

ca

Don't you have any acquaintances who are more familiar with this? A hard drive defect is annoying, but rather cheap to replace. The installation effort is probably more expensive than the new disk if it was not a 1 TB SSD now.

ch

He is 1tb tall. He is a year and a half bought it from Black Friday two years ago. And no I have no friends or acquaintances who can do this to me. I'm alone.

ca

Then there's probably only the best thing to bring back again and then best to be convinced of the proper functionality on site after the repair.

ch

Wr doesn't start up anymore, it turns blue and it says it has a problem. Then it says the repair start below. Then it says it could not be repaired, restart or continue options. You can reset it in the other options. I've tried three times no what's not. You can clean the hard drive completely empty. Or make out

ch

Yes, three weeks worked perfectly. Well just that I could no longer load softwere from the network. But whether otherwise great and now the ahh

Fo

Aha. So that means that you don't have a hardware problem, but a software problem with Windows 10. We can easily solve that. Well, maybe not that easy, but it is also possible without spending money.

This error may have been caused by an incorrect update, as is almost always the case with Windows 10.

Such a boot loop, where the system hangs when repairing, unfortunately happens very often at 10.

To put a stop to the whole thing, you have to switch to the so-called "safe mode".

In this mode (in contrast to now) only the most necessary drivers and services are loaded.

To get in there, press the F8 key several times in quick succession while holding down the Shift key. If this entry is successful, a selection menu appears, which gives you access to Windows. If you select the "Start Safe Mode with Networking" option, you can even use the Internet:

https://praxistipps.chip.de/...rten_40021

Then try using the update feature in the settings to undo and uninstall the most recent updates.
In the future it would be advisable to deactivate automatic updates. For over 25 years I have never had a Windows update that worked properly. Windows 10 will continue to do so for the next 25 years.

If there are problems with the deinstallation, you should at least try to carry out a repair with some commands.
To do this, press the Windows key and R at the same time.

There you type:

sfc / scannow

And confirm with Enter. The system now performs a file check and corrects incorrect files and settings.

If these tips don't help, please read this through:

https://www.giga.de/...m-und-sfc/

If that doesn't help either, the error is so serious that you'll have to back up your data somehow to reinstall Windows 10. And now watch out: resetting Windows is NOT the same as reinstalling Windows. When reinstalling, your hard drive must be clean and have no remnants of old Windows versions on it (yes, even an apparently empty hard drive has hidden information about past Windows settings and versions).
But more on that later. First, do the first steps. Then we'll see.

ch

Ok i tried to reset the computer no chance. I tried to get into Safe Mode. No change again and again comes the blue the computer has a problem

Fo

So the menu actually comes before Windows 10 loads.
Hold down the Shift key (to get into Safe Mode) while hammering F8 several times in a row.
If it doesn't work with the Shift key, try the Ctrl key with F8. The same principle: hold down Ctrl and hammer F8.

Sometimes Windows is really weird. I think Windows 10 is more stubborn to get in because the time between BIOS initialization and operating system startup is much shorter than Windows 7. Try again. The timing is crucial. Therefore, before the Windows logo comes, use the key combination

ch

So the hard drive was completely broken new hard drive and make new cost 200 euro

Fo

Do you mean you have sent them for repair now?

Because what I mean could mean that your hard drive is defective at certain points at the software level and not at the hardware level. And I know my way around software. Hardware is a completely remote maintenance-free undertaking.

ch

He showed me that the drive was completely broken, he tried to repair it, but absolutely impossible. I saw it myself. Ovj now have 500gb instead of my 1tb hard drive
