Laptop restart takes forever?

I wanted to restart my laptop for a windows update, which usually took a maximum of 5 minutes, but today it suddenly takes almost an hour, does anyone know what can be done about it?

If you're in the update now, just leave it where it is. Depending on what kind of update it is, it can sometimes take longer.
