Why does Sims 3 always crash when creating a Sim mode?

I wanted to start a new game in Twinbrook town (if it is written like this) yesterday, everything was fine until I wanted to create a sim. I usually made it to clothing or a little further and then my screen went black and my laptop was off. After about 3 tries, my laptop already crashed when the city loaded… Does anyone know how I could fix the problem?
