Life without a cell phone + PC etc?

I'm 15 years old and attend a high school. So far, I loved everything that has to do with technology. I built PCs, used my cell phone a lot, etc. Recently I have not only become more suspicious of large companies and online providers, I also notice that everyone is caught in a "my cell phone is the best" bubble. Now I have to sell my cell phone and all other "smart" devices, and only with an only-calling cell phone (e.g. Nokia 8110 4G) and as a replacement for my gaming PC (worth almost 2000 euro) a Think Pad with LTE ( Of course to buy with Kali Linux + VPN / Proxy (Socks 5 or similar) and to cope with it… The whole cell phone contaminated people and classmates often only make me aggressive. In general, I mistrust almost everyone why I have hardly any friends get a performance… I do a lot of outdoor / survival / prepping stuff I have a damned lot of knowledge about technology. What do you think of the idea? Has anyone ever tried it? Have you been "isolated" from the rest of the world? Actually I would doing without a notebook is not possible due to school.

I would find it much better to use these devices sensibly. Computer only for work or for school, cell phone only for a certain time of the day.

Your mistrust is understandable to a certain extent, but as you write you are only "encapsulated".

You can't get around technology these days. In addition, it also offers many advantages if you use it sensibly.

I'm well aware of the "reasonable handling"… Nevertheless, I don't feel like all the technology anymore… The only thing I do with my mobile phone is write WhatsApp and occasionally watch YouTube. And then there's a certain "addictive behavior". You always use a cell phone if you don't know something. And that is exactly what bothers me. I hate myself for that. And I already know very well that technology has many advantages, otherwise the project I described would make no sense.

I use a Nokia X2-02 DualSim (I also considered the 8110 4G, but it had some teething problems, such as incorrect T9 input): https://www.areamobile.de/...M-1308249/

By the way, I have been looking for a cell phone that is not a smartphone for a long time, good T9 support (add your own words, capitalization correct, etc.), supports DualSim, can run Java apps etc. And the X2-02 seems to do that to be the only mobile phone that meets all requirements. Unfortunately there's no longer new to buy, was lucky that I found it used in very good condition.

I also use a desktop PC (made by myself) and a Thinkpad X200T convertible with pen input, both run on Linux (since I don't want to do penetration testing with it, but just manage everyday tasks, Arch Linux and Manjaro Linux are running here).

To be honest, securing the OS with VPN and similar tools has been too expensive for me so far, but I don't use some add-ons in the browser against tracking. In this respect, the use of Linux is not too much help in terms of data security in my case.

Linux as an OS does not really bring me any restrictions, at most if someone sends a .docx file and LibreOffice does not render the layout correctly, it becomes stupid, but they are usually only minor blemishes, at worst you can ask for a PDF version of the document.

Nokia as a cell phone naturally leads to restrictions such as no WhatsApp support. That is more relevant, I have gotten some irritated looks. But you can cope with it, then people just have to write or call. So I didn't have any major problems with that either.
