I have fast internet on my cell phone (20mb / s) but when I turn on the hotspot and connect it to my laptop it is much slower. Can anyone say what can be done about it?
This is normal, because your cell phone itself takes up the bandwidth. You have to imagine this as something like a Wi-Fi repeater. Since your cell phone receives data from the mast and either needs it itself or has to send it on. If they have to go on to your computer, the cell phone has to send to your laptop first, then it can forward data to the masts again. It is the same with receiving. This means that since both connections run over an end connection, they block a little. That's why the internet is worse. As far as I know there's nothing you can do about it. (However, I'm not a computer scientist, because I'm 14 and go to school, so that could not be true either)
Hope I could help you anyway.
Haha okay thanks. You can always learn from young people
