It's not only worth it, it's close to duty. Anything below 60 FPS would be unacceptable. Higher frametimes also have a negative effect on the input lag and give you a massive handicap.

Do not play them that often, but 60 fps are still enough to get you around. Have a good kd in r6 (do not play fortnite). Besides, I'm sure he does not want to start an e-sport career. So 60 fps should be enough to have fun and a reasonably good kd.

But 60+ fps will not do you much if you're not a good player. I already played games like bf3 etc. At 40 fps and had a kd of 4.1
With constant FPS would have had 6.0.
