I'm a Telekom customer and have connected my PC to the router using a LAN cable. Unfortunately I only get a download speed of a maximum of 1.2 MB / s, which is really strange, because I have about 8 MB / s when I download something via WLAN via my laptop?! Any idea how this can be increased with the LAN cable or what could be the reason?
I also have to admit that the fact that the downstream is faster with WLAN than with LAN is very unusual. Basically, the bandwidth seems to be correct. So I suspect the cause in the local network.
Please update the drivers of the network card once, change the LAN port on the router and, if possible, test another LAN cable.
Do you always have these different download speeds and with every server? Or maybe the phenomenon only exists at a certain time of day or only relates to a target server?
