Dual monitoring with laptop + PC at the same time?

I would like to operate my laptop (Lenovo T495) together with my desktop PC on two monitors, so that I can switch between laptop and PC via a switch (without having to change large cables).

How did I imagine that?

I would switch between PC and laptop via a USB 3.0 switch (https://www.conrad.de/de/p/logilink-ua0216-2-port-usb-3-2-gen-1-umschalter-usb-3-0-schwarz-1303754.html#customerReviews). This leads into a dock, which has dual monitoring (https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Universal-Laptop-Docking-Station-Equipped/dp/B0832K7NS9/

is capable.

I would also like to have my keyboard, mouse and possibly also a LAN cable connected to the dock so that both laptop and PC can be used with it.

My first question would be whether it makes sense at all, or maybe there are other options? (My PC has no USB-C and no Thunderbolt)

If it all works, would I have any disadvantages such as latency or limited data transfer?

I would really appreciate your help.

'Graphics will of course be absolutely reduced,' doesn't sound very good. Are there any alternative solutions?

NO. Since you connect via USB 3.0, there's no solution.

There's a separate GPU chip in the Dogstation, which is of course extremely slow and the resolution is also reduced. The USB 3.0 is simply too slow for more data.
