My answer / recommendation:
Read the instructions for the software in question (camera software in the mobile phone) and look there (or on the manufacturer's support pages) to find out how the videos can be used sensibly and in which file format they are exactly.
Maybe it would work if you tried it with your mobile phone via a) Bluetooth b) with a USB2 cable or c) with Duet display as a second monitor.
With all possibilities you can use GIF jpng. Or download flv.DAT or pull it over
It is best not to add any information about the cell phone model to the cell phone questions so that it is really clear that there's only one cell phone model on the market 🙄
How did you transfer "the video" from your mobile phone to your laptop? Have you uploaded it to the Microsoft cloud using the OneDrive app and synced it to the OneDrive folder on your laptop using OneDrive? With a JPEG file it must have happened very quickly because you either didn't record a video or you synchronized the wrong file. How long is the video on the phone and how big is the file in your OneDrive folder on the laptop? Videos are recorded either in .MP4 format, or in .AVI format or sometimes in HEVC or .MOV format, depending on what you can use for a mobile phone operating system environment.
A Huawei mobile phone… Transferring video with a USB cable, ended up with "Pictures", then over to OneDrive. That doesn't work for me at all, even when I go to create video. There's only one photo. The video is 3min. OneDrive is the last junk for me.
It's a shame, Huawei is not a cell phone model, but a manufacturer.
If you connect your cell phone to the laptop with a USB cable, the unlocked Huawei usually rings and asks what you want to do. Take the second selection, Transfer data, because with the first selection Images → you can only transfer images.
And after selecting the second selection, please open Windows Explorer, click on your Huawei model and click into the relevant folder with the video.
