Yesterday I closed my notebook (Trekstor Primebook u13b) normally. After a few minutes, I opened it up and pressed a button to get the screen back on, but it stayed black. Nothing helped. Then I had to hold down the power button to shut it down.
The boot up then works, but as soon as I close the notebook or activate energy saving with the power button, it does not wake up and I have to constantly shut it down and start again. You probably know. Why this can be and how I can fix the problem.
Is that immediately a reason to just give it back? (Habs only since this month…)
If you look for the problem Googlet then you realize that this is not an isolated incident. That means if you can handle the mistake then you can keep it, if it sucks you should ask for your money back as it is unlikely that if you get a replacement device, it does not have this error…
And there's no real idea to fix it
You might think about it a bit in the energy options to see if you do not change, for example, if the device closes it does not go to standby but only turns off the screen. Then you do not have the problem if you accidentally closed it then it must be shut down, which would be very annoying in Word documents or the like.
Yes that's right…
Gladly
I owned two notebooks and had the problem with both. Maybe I do not know how to handle it or there's a mistake. In any case, I agree that I do not bring it into the energy-saving mode, and shut up.
One thing I can tell you for sure. Do not hold the thing with the power button more often than absolutely necessary. That breaks the PC.
It is not a solution!
I had access as an admin and a reserve as a workshop. After switching off the power switch too often, I did not get into Admin anymore. Everything I needed Admin did not work anymore. I also ran out of data. And there's no solution to fix the problem.
I was able to save the data afterwards by removing the hard drive and installing it in another PC. But my admin is down…
Thanks for the hint. I definitely try to avoid it now.
