Hi do you know a Linux (64 bit) which you can boot via BIOS and not via UEFI? I have a laptop that doesn't get along well with UEFI, but I still want a 64 bit version. But somehow everyone who can be installed via GUI uses UEFI, so you know which one?
Have found so far: AntiX, Debian
Fedora and Manjaro too.
You have to deactivate the UEFI mode in the BIOS and set it to ENABLE… Feed with F10 and then install again.
Can you choose this during installation?
Answer read wrong, ignore my answer, sorry
No you have to boot the USB stick in legacy mode in the BIOS if you have packed the ISO on a USB stick, for example.
OK thanks
Thank you
No problem
No, you have to set this on your PC before installation… There can also be LEGASY after deactivating UEFI MODE.
