Windows 10 locked. Forgot Password?

I bought a notebook in a large electronics store. I set it up at home. Also entered various passwords. Since these should be at least 8 characters long, I used numbers. Now I don't know anymore. For the cell phone number, I took an old one because I was a bit sensitive.

Now I have forgotten the password. I have requested a form from an alternative email address and filled it out completely. Also given any passwords. The email always came back with the remark that the data could not be verified.

I've never had Hotmail, XBOX accounts and the like and the PC doesn't have a CD drive, just a USB port. It started up quickly thanks to the SSD hard drive.

What can I do now?

Se

Insert a USB stick with Linux, boot from it and copy the important data from the SSD to the stick. Then you reset Windows in the boot options.

What?

Hello. I bought a notebook in a large electronics store. I set it up at home. Also entered various passwords.

Well, then just reset the NB using a USB stick and reinstall Win 10.

Since these should be at least 8 characters long, I used numbers.

Aha.

Now I don't know anymore.

What kind of passwords are you talking about?

For the cell phone number, I took an old one because I was a bit sensitive.

This is of course very practical when it no longer exists. What do you think a cell phone number is used for? Exactly - for address verification and, if necessary, for unlocking.

What can I do now?

Describing the problem properly would probably be a good start.

Then only resetting to factory settings makes sense. How to do this should be in the instructions for the notebook.
This will give you the condition - as it was bought - back.
There are pieces of paper and pencil to write down the PW or you use a password generator from the start - you only have to remember the PW and can simply use a separate and secure PW for all accounts and accesses.

If you have only used a local account and do not go via live services, you can simply reset the password with a Linux live boot. Are there enough tutorials for.

Yes, yes, that's all you can do wrong…

As I said, I bought the notebook in a large electronics store. You don't get overwhelmed with CDs / DVDs when you buy, you have to make backups of the system. Passwords are those for the login screen and the actual account. You should actually know if you want to give help.

I can do without stupid sayings.

Passwords are those for the login screen and the actual account.

And why don't you write that right away? You should know when you are looking for help.

Create boot medium on another system, save data, reinstall.

I can do without stupid sayings.

That's what the right person says.
