File too big for my USB stick?

I created a movie in Windows Movie Maker that is about 1:10 h long and 8.57 GB in size. Now I wanted to pull the film onto my laptop using a USB stick (16 GB), which still has 14.5 GB free.

When I try to drag the movie onto the USB stick, it shows me "The file" xxx "is too big for the target file system".

Can someone explain to me why?

The stick is probably FAT formatted, so a file can only be 4GB in size, format it NTFS, then your project goes.

How do I format it and then bring disadvantages?

Ke

Right click on the data carrier, select NFTS and you're done. Then, however, all files that were previously on the stick are gone.

Thank you.

You can format the USB stick differently.
