For a long time I have been struggling with the problem that the connection between the WLAN router (Fritzbox) and TV (LG55UJ670V) does not really work. Except every now and then when restarting, the TV never found the network. I tried all sorts of tricks from the Internet (also disconnected from the power, changed country settings, etc.), but no improvement was found in any way. Finally, I put the television on again and since then the network has not been found, not even briefly, simply not at all.
On my smartphone, laptop, tablet etc., however, the WLAN works without any problems.
Is the WLAN module here? Is there any trick to find out? The TV is still relatively new (degree so that the 2-year guarantee has expired), so I'm very surprised that something should be broken here.
If so, could I exchange the WLAN module myself?
If the TV has a LAN socket, I would simply connect it via LAN. If (incomprehensible) that should not be possible, then I would simply integrate a so-called access point into the Wi-Fi as a bridge, and then connect the television to it via lan. So to speak, a Wi-Fi antenna that is connected to the television via LAN.
Well at long I need a cable from the router to the tv or? Is a bit cumbersome because the Fritzbox is 5 rooms further approx. 10 meters away. And putting a cable through the whole house is a bit cumbersome, isn't it?
I have to look at the acesspoint.
Certainly… But if you don't have two left hands, a drill and a couple of nail clamps or something, it can be easy. As I wrote… I CAN and don't want to tell you how to solve this. Because of my two proposed solutions…
