I think the vtech things for big trash! They have so few possibilities and after 1 year the things are played out.
An Amazon Fire. The best way is the kids version. My have also got the tablet with 3 and 4. You have the unlimited free for 1 year and a great case and the tablet is insured for 2 years for all accidents.
The Free Time unlimited offers a lot of content that you can vote for your age. The apps are free. You just download them. You can control when and what your child is allowed to do. You can regulate whether it should make learning apps before it is allowed to watch movies, for example. They can lock the Internet and let everything work offline. There are picture books and radio plays and many well-known and great films. I think the Connie follow very well because it just tells from real life or "Once upon a time…". The nice thing is that these tablets grow with the older the child, the more it can do it. Load new programs. When it comes to school and can read, the user interface changes from image to text.
