Hi, I thought about getting a tablet for my computer science studies to take notes. Notebook is of course already at the start ^^. Actually I tended more towards Samsung tablets, but a few fellow students are totally convinced of their ipad pro.
Can you tell me whether the approx. 300 Euro surcharge is really totally worth it and if so, to what extent?
I would be particularly interested in the software and to what extent IOS has better apps for studying. 🤔
I would appreciate a few testimonials ^^
You can also take the new iPad Air for whatever need you have.
I personally think that Android tablets are not the yellow of the egg, but of course that is also a matter of taste.
I use an iPad Pro 11 "2018 for my studies, so I get along very well with it.
I use Notability for notes and for managing scripts. At that time, I used Microsoft OneNote at school. I think that the software doesn't differ much from Android, at least as far as the existing software is concerned. Personally, I think the interaction between my mobile phone and my tablet is simply successful.
As a computer science student, you probably have a Windows laptop, so I would advise against Notability and use OneNote, because Windows does not have access to Notability.
Ok what exactly speaks against android tablets? 🤔
Mainly it's the apps. Android apps are generally hardly adapted to tablets, because the tablet market for Android is rather marginal.
Another problem is the relatively short update policy in the Android segment. This is actually one of my main reasons why I refrain from Android tablets. The device is supposed to last at least 3-5 years and it is bad if I don't receive any updates after 2 years.
I try to replace a laptop with my tablet as much as possible and that works absolutely well for me with the iPad.
Ok good to know, thank you very much!
As I said, you can't go wrong with the Air. In terms of price and technology, it is probably on par with the S6.
