LAN speed too low, what should I do?

I use the ASRock B450 Pro4, which has 1 Gigabit LAN, but I get only 160MBit / s, but I have 400MBit and I get that with my laptop. Before, I had an ASRock Z170 Pro4s and everything worked. I have the latest LAN drivers. What could be the problem?

Is the LAN cable connected directly to the router, or is there something in between?

ha

It is directly connected, have used with my laptop and before the same cable.

Ja

You can sometimes under system control → network card → Property → expanded in "Media Type" or "Speed and Duplex" etc. Time to switch from Auto to 1GB Full Duplex

And see how it behaves then

ha

Thanks, same result

Ja

Ok, to test you are testing the Internet speed properly? Between the PC and notebook, do you have full speed? Maybe just https://www.heise.de/...8/download

Download.

And then set to "Windows Default", you can make before a picture of "Current", if it does not get better

ha

Thank you so much! Now I reach 430MBit / s

Speed tests are comfortable. To test the LAN you should always measure between two computers in the LAN. For example With JPERF.

What MTU did you hire?
