Is it normal that the shipment document is required when shipping abroad, and if it does not arrive within 3 days to reclaim the money?

I sold a laptop via EBay classifieds. A Texas surgeon slammed and bought the laptop for a friend in the UK. Now I have received a confirmation e-mail from Bank of America. There's that if I do not send the copy of the Sendem within 3 days, the amount transferred will be refunded. However, I'm worried that I will not get the money within the next 3 days, and then I'll send the laptop but never reach the money. To fake an e-mail from the Bank of America is certainly not an impossibility… I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with sending expensive goods abroad, and whether this procedure is normal, or rather unusual.

Please turn on the brain:

Are there any more laptops in Texas and the UK… Above all, what do those with a German layout want?

Laptop is gone and you will never see the money
