I have a question about my old MEDION laptop from 2014-2016 (around this years & Windows 8.1). I had a series together with a friend. So with TeamViewer, he can see what I do on my computer, but that's just not so important. Anyway, I wanted to stop the series and I can still see how something of this program was popped up and accidentally clicked on something. Since then, the laptop has hit so hard that it took 5-7 minutes for it to execute a mouse click. Immediately I decided to restart and update it, which did not work out for the time being. After that, I had to update it again. A few days later I had to update it again, which I think is not quite normal, right? In any case, after the whole restart and update, he goes now reasonably, but still has a quirk. He freezes every few minutes and then nothing works. But if I press the Windows key and go back, it works again. I have uninstalled TeamViewer for a long time, but it stayed the same. It really annoys me, I can never do anything normal without constantly having to click on it. Does anyone know what I could do there? Is this a virus or something or should I rather go to the IT Specialist?
Have you already run anti-virus software over it?
You can in the task manager in the tab "Startup" various applications that are automatically started, just disable it. If and how much that brings, you see u.A. Also in the task manager in the workload. Furthermore, you can under "Run" and "msconfig" all additional services that otherwise run, sometimes disable… And just test again. Important: Have you disabled something and found that it was not the problem, reactivate… Otherwise, the thing is completely screwed afterwards. So a tip: Updater often cause such problems; I had just something synonymous times through a lazy Java update…
For days it ultimately looked like a hardware damage; Java uninstalled and immediately everything went as before. Often these are the small and not suspected "little things" that one does not think about, but which cause great confusion!
You can also download the CC-Cleaner and let it run over: Maybe he finds and removes some lazy eggs:-)
An idea that I should have come to earlier. I will try out immediately.
Thank you, I will try immediately ^^
Pass but on the cc cleaner not somewhere down load but only on known sites.
You can't always have everything in mind. Maybe you come to things where others have problems and can help them.
Unfortunately, he says nothing, but many thanks ^^
What says your task manager because what is extremely loaded by a program?
No, but got a notification from Avira, which has an Adware / Crossrider.gen7 and it was put into quarantine
Ok, is he better now?
